Citizenship Picnic

Allison celebrated her citizenship at a picnic sponsored by the Adoptive Parents Council held in Addenbrooke Park in Lakewood, Colorado on Sunday, September 9, 2001.

Festivities included a picnic lunch followed by cake and refreshments.  She and the group recited their citizenship oath and followed that by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Allison saw and was glad to have been able to spend some time with Julia Doak, sister Maddy and parents Jeanne and Roger, who were in her travel group.

Allison models the attire she selected  for this special day. Dressed and ready to go, Allison waits patiently for her parents. Allison poses with mom. Having had her lunch, Allison kills some time until the cake is served.

With a little help, Allison recites her citizenship oath.
