Allison in China

Allison, then known as LeXie, was born in LePing in the Jiangxi province of China.  She spent time at the orphanage and in foster care.

The orphanage and Allison's foster mother were kind enough to take pictures with a disposable camera sent in a care package along with toys and some clothing.  These pictures would have been taken in September or October, 2000.

In November, 2000, Allison left Nanchang and flew to Guangzhou, where she spent several days awaiting her appointment at the US Consulate.  While in Guangzhou, Allison stayed at the White Swan.

While in Guangzhou, Allison celebrated her first birthday with several of her travel companions at the Hard Rock Cafe.

After receiving the necessary travel documents, she departed Guangzhou on Thanksgiving Day, and flew on to Hong Kong where she caught a Cathay Pacific non-stop to Los Angeles.

She hopes to return some day to visit friends she left behind, and those that helped her find a new home in Colorado with Connie and Jim.
